WALK-INS WELCOME! We have Utah’s largest SUP Fleet! We always encourage you to reserve online to guarantee availability & speed up the in-store pick-up process, but walk-ins are welcome!
RENTAL POLICIES:
- Reservations are fully refundable if cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, reservations cancelled under 24 hours in advance are eligible for a rain check or in-store credit towards purchase.
- *The 30% Reservation Discount does NOT apply to summer rentals, only winter! We work hard to offer the best pricing in town and to bring the best quality products in our summer rental fleet. If you find a better price for a similar product let us know: manager@ajmotionsports.com
- Renters must be 18 years or older to rent or accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- All SUP/Kayak renters must sign a liability release form before we can release the rental to you. Anyone under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign for them.
- Rentals can be picked up between 4pm – 6pm the day before your 1st rental day (you must choose this option when making your reservation) for no extra charge
- Rentals are due back by 6pm the last day of your rental, or the following morning by 11am. (We open at 9am)
CLEANING & CHECK IN PROCESS:
Due to COVID-19 our return process is a little different this year. We are unable to check your bag to make sure all parts are present immediately upon return.
Any missing parts / items from your rental will be charged between 24 hours – 72 hours after returning.
Please make sure you account for all rental parts! If you get charged and bring us the part back we will refund you!
If you bring back a rental item and it is excessively dirty (Mud, dirt, grime, dog hair, etc) we will charge a minimum of $15 cleaning fee. We pride ourselves in having the best rental equipment in Salt Lake, and we expect you to respect our equipment!
REPAIRABLE DAMAGE INSURANCE:
We do offer a Repairable Damage Insurance on our Rental Products. This price varies from $2-$4 per day.
BACKPACKING & CAMPING INSURANCE: $2/DAY
The Repairable Damage on Backpacking & Camping covers any repairable damage done to the product including basic wear & small patching. This insurance does not cover un-repairable damage, lost/broken items, or any missing parts
SUP & ECO KAYAK INSURANCE: $3/DAY
The Repairable Damage Insurance for Inflatable Stand-Up Paddle Boards & Economy Kayaks covers patches up to 2″ in diameter, as well as any minor abrasions. This insurance does not cover patches larger than 2″, excessive wear & tear, lost/missing/stolen equipment or parts.
PERF. KAYAK INSURANCE: $4/DAY

For the 2020 SUP Summer Season, we are proud to offer the STAGE iSUP Series! The 2020 STAGE iSUP Series, will feature a remake of the familiar favorite S10, now called the S10 Journey, as well as a new 6″ longer and 2″ wider board, the S10 Expedition. We also carry the Y10 Yoga board, X10 Expedition board , F11 Fishing board, and J8 Junior Board.

For the 2020 Summer Season we are proud to offer STAGE Inflatable Kayaks & Sit-Down Paddleboards, as well as Advanced Element‘s Inflatable Kayaks in our Kayak rental fleet. This year we will feature two package options: Economy Kayak Pkg. & Performance Kayak Pkg.
STAGE K1 & K2 will headline our Economy Package, a package great for an easy day on a calm lake. These Kayaks are a great price however require extra care and stability! Our 1-Man Option weight limit is 200lbs and our Tandem option weight limit is 400lbs. We offer both a 1-Person (K1) option & a Tandem (K2) option. (See pricing below) The Economy Kayak package is NOT intended for white water or rivers.
We also offer Sit-Down Paddlboards! The K11 Sit-Down Paddleboard is a great stable option for anyone looking for an alternative to a SUP or a more stable affordable Kayak option. The K11 offers storage room for a large dry bag or ice and drinks on the lake. The K11 is NOT intended for white water / rivers!
For our Performance Kayak Package, Advanced Elements will showcase the ‘AdvancedFrame AE1012‘ Day Touring Inflatable Kayak & the ‘StraitEdge 1006‘ Whitewater/Crossover Inflatable Kayak for our 1-Man package options. Our Tandem option will be Advanced Element‘s ‘AdvancedFrame Convertible AE1007‘ Inflatable Kayak perfect for Day Touring / Expedition Touring.

For the first time ever we are proud to offer Marmot and Mystery Ranch backpacking packs for the 2020 Summer Season. These backpacks are durable, lightweight, and easy to use. Great for single day use or a weekend trip. The Stein 65 and Sphinx 60 by Mystery Ranch are great for week long journeys as well.

WHY AJ MOTION SPORTS?
We’ve served Utah with Winter Daily and Season ski rentals for over 10 years. In 2017, we expanded our rental program to the summer for the first time ever, and we offered iSUP Rentals from STAGE. Stand-up Paddleboards are something we fell in love with and so did our customers. Every year since we have sold out of iSUP every summer. In 2019 we expanded our Summer Rentals to include iKayaks, which were a huge hit and inspiration for expansion to include Advanced Element Kayak’s in our 2020 rental program. For 2020 we are also introducing Tents, Sleeping Bags, and Backpacking packs for the first time! Our shop offers the best variety of paddleboards for rent and for sale in all of Utah, including, Yoga/Beginner Boards, Expedition Boards, Lightweight Boards, Fishing Boards, and Jr Boards. We also offer the STAGE Switchblade Paddle, the worlds first double-sided SUP paddle, great for beginners needing extra balance or experts racing through the waves. (Seriously try this thing, you’ll never go back to a regular SUP paddle!)

SUP Set-up Quick Guide
- Make sure the board’s valve is UP before inflating (push down & turn 1/4, to alternate between UP & DOWN position)
- Make sure hose is connected to “INF” or “OUT” side of Pump
- Make sure to start on “DOUBLE ACTION” setting on Pump, when reaching 8+ psi switch to “SINGLE ACTION“
- Fill SUP up to minimum of 10 psi & up to maximum of 15 psi (If you are renting the X10 or F11 3-Chamber board, fill the side chambers to 3-4 psi)
- Detach hose and screw on valve cover cap (IF AIR BLOWS BACK OUT: Make sure the valve is UP, see step 1.)
- Attach FIN to bottom of board
